Band and musician website

A website for a band or solo musician: your new release, tour dates, the band, merch, a mailing list and a booking form.

Social media comes and goes, but a website is the one link you own. It is where fans find your next show, where a venue checks you out before booking you, and where a journalist looks for a photo and a few lines to quote. A good band or musician website is loud about your newest music and makes the next step easy: listen, buy a ticket, sign up.

What to put on a band or musician website

  • Your newest release. The cover, the title, the release date and links to where people can listen or buy it.
  • Upcoming shows. Date, city, venue and a Tickets button for each, with sold out shows marked.
  • Who you are. A photo of the band or of you, and a short bio in your own voice. Name the members and what they play.
  • Merch. Shirts, records and posters with prices, and where to buy them: at shows or through a link.
  • Press and quotes. Two or three short lines from reviews or radio, with the source.
  • A mailing list. The best way to reach fans directly when a new song or tour comes out. On a published Kodebloc website, each sign-up lands in your Messages inbox and in your email.
  • Booking. For a solo musician who plays weddings, bars or private events, a booking form with the date, place and kind of event.

Tips for your request

  1. Describe your sound as a look. "Gritty gig poster", "warm and acoustic" or "neon and synth" gives the AI a strong direction.
  2. Give real dates and venues. A list of made-up shows is the first thing a fan would spot. Leave the section out until you have dates.
  3. Point buttons at the right places. In Add & edit, select each Listen or Tickets button and use the link button to paste the address of your streaming page or ticket seller. See edit your website by hand.
  4. One page is usually enough. Fans scroll. A long single page with clear sections works well on a phone.

Start from a ready-made music website

Open either of these as your own copy: an indie band with an album launch, tracklist, ticket-stub tour dates, merch and a mailing list form, or a singer-songwriter with an EP, upcoming shows, booking packages and a booking inquiry form. The band names, songs and shows are made up, so put in yours and link the buttons to your own pages. See all templates.

Keep the tour dates current

Old shows make a website look abandoned. After each show, remove it or add the next one, then update the live website. The address stays the same, so the link in your profiles keeps working. Read update or take down a live website.

Kodebloc is free while in beta.
