Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Kodebloc. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this platform.

These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Kodebloc. We reserve the right to update or modify these terms at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of the platform following any changes indicates your acceptance of the new terms.

Description of Service

Kodebloc is offered as two connected products that share a single account:

Kodebloc on the web — AI Website Builder

  • AI-assisted generation of single-page websites from natural-language prompts
  • A sandboxed live preview of the generated site
  • Publishing a generated site to a public, shareable URL hosted by us
  • A private project gallery and a public community gallery
  • The Refactoring Lab, which returns AI-assisted rewrites of code you paste in

Kodebloc mobile app

  • Interactive coding lessons, quizzes, and daily challenges
  • Code Battles (real-time competitive quiz matches) and related leaderboards
  • Progress tracking, XP, and streaks
  • AI-assisted content generation (summaries, exercises, questions, and explanations)

Both products include user accounts and profile management. The AI website builder is currently in beta and offered free of charge.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our service at any time without liability to you.

User Accounts and Registration

To access certain features of our platform, you must create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Maintain the security of your password and account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the platform.

We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or remove content at our sole discretion.

User Conduct and Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the platform to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe upon the rights of others, including intellectual property rights
  • Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other malicious code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the platform or servers
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Collect or store personal data about other users without consent
  • Resell or redistribute access to the platform itself (using sites you generate for commercial purposes is permitted)
  • Submit false or misleading information

Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of your account and legal action if necessary.

Intellectual Property Rights

The Kodebloc platform itself — including its text, graphics, logos, images, lesson and course materials, templates, and software — is the property of Kodebloc or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

This does not apply to the sites and code the builder generates for you. Those are covered separately under Sites You Generate and Publish below.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the platform. You may not:

  • Reproduce, distribute, or publicly display our platform content without permission
  • Modify or create derivative works based on our platform content
  • Resell, sublicense, or repackage the platform itself as your own service
  • Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code from our platform

AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Kodebloc uses artificial intelligence to generate:

  • Website code — the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript the builder produces from your prompts, and the rewrites the Refactoring Lab returns
  • Learning content — lesson summaries, practice exercises, multiple-choice questions, and alternative explanations

You acknowledge and agree to the following:

Nature of AI-Generated Content

  • AI-generated content is produced by machine learning models and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or inappropriate material
  • AI-generated content should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional advice or expert review
  • You should review all AI-generated content before publishing it, relying on it, or sharing it with others
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or quality of any AI-generated content

Limitations and Disclaimers

  • AI models may generate biased, outdated, or contextually inappropriate content
  • Generated website code is not warranted to be secure, accessible, performant, standards-compliant, or fit for production use. You are responsible for reviewing and testing it before relying on it
  • Generated code may include third-party patterns, text, or assets that carry their own licensing obligations
  • Generated explanations may oversimplify complex concepts or provide misleading analogies
  • Practice exercises and multiple-choice questions may have ambiguous options or incorrect answer keys

User Responsibility

  • You are responsible for evaluating the quality, legality, and appropriateness of AI-generated content before using or publishing it
  • You must not rely solely on AI-generated content for making technical, educational, or business decisions
  • You agree to provide feedback on AI-generated content to help improve the system

No Liability for AI-Generated Content

Kodebloc shall not be liable for any damages, losses, or errors arising from the use of AI-generated content, including but not limited to:

  • Errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in generated content
  • Inappropriate or offensive material in AI outputs
  • Defects, security vulnerabilities, or downtime in a generated site you publish or deploy elsewhere
  • Confusion or misunderstanding due to AI-generated explanations, and academic performance issues related to AI-generated materials
  • Copyright or intellectual property issues arising from AI generation

Sites You Generate and Publish

This section applies to the AI website builder and the Refactoring Lab.

Ownership

As between you and Kodebloc, you own the sites and code you generate, and you are free to use them for any lawful purpose, including commercial purposes. We claim no ownership over your prompts or the output generated from them.

You grant us a limited licence to store, reproduce, and display that content only as needed to operate the service — to render your preview, serve your published site to visitors, keep it in your gallery, and display it in the community gallery if you choose to make it public.

Because generative models can produce similar output for similar prompts, we cannot guarantee that your generated output is unique to you or that it does not resemble output provided to another user.

Publishing and Acceptable Use

Publishing a site makes it available at a public URL that anyone with the link can open. You are solely responsible for what you publish. You must not publish a site that:

  • Is unlawful, or infringes anyone else's rights
  • Impersonates a real person, business, or organisation, or presents itself as an official page of one
  • Phishes for credentials or payment details, or otherwise attempts to deceive visitors
  • Distributes malware, or attempts to exploit visitors' browsers
  • Contains sexually explicit material, harassment, or content that promotes violence or self-harm
  • Is used to send spam, or to host infrastructure for unrelated services

Takedown and Removal

We may remove, unpublish, or restrict access to any published site at our discretion — including in response to a complaint, a legal request, or a violation of these terms — with or without prior notice. We may also remove sites from the community gallery while leaving them otherwise accessible.

Beta Service and Availability

Publishing and hosting are provided as part of a free beta. We do not guarantee uptime, durability, or continued availability of published sites, and we may impose or change usage limits at any time. Keep your own copy of anything you care about — do not treat Kodebloc as the sole store of record for your work.

User-Generated Content

This section covers content you submit outside the builder — profile details, comments, notes, shared code, and similar. Sites you generate and publish are governed by Sites You Generate and Publish above, which takes precedence for that content.

By submitting content, you grant Kodebloc a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display your content in connection with operating and improving the platform.

You represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have the necessary rights to the content you submit
  • Your content does not violate any third-party rights
  • Your content does not contain illegal or harmful material

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms or that we deem inappropriate.

Disclaimers and Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • The platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • The results obtained from using the platform will be accurate or reliable
  • Any errors in the platform will be corrected
  • The platform will meet your specific requirements

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KODEBLOC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:

  • Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the platform
  • Any conduct or content of any third party on the platform
  • Any content obtained from the platform
  • Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US, IF ANY, IN THE PAST SIX MONTHS.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Kodebloc, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees, arising out of or in any way connected with:

  • Your access to or use of the platform
  • Your violation of these Terms of Service
  • Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights
  • Any content you submit or share on the platform

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the platform immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms of Service.

Upon termination, your right to use the platform will immediately cease. If you wish to terminate your account, you may do so at kodebloc.com/delete-account, from the mobile app under Profile → Settings → Delete account, or by contacting us. Deleting your account also unpublishes any sites you have published.

All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms or your use of the platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India. Either party may also seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property infringement or other urgent matters.

You agree to waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action lawsuit.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms of Service at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect.

What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our platform after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.

Miscellaneous

These Terms of Service constitute the entire agreement between you and Kodebloc regarding the use of the platform. Our failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

If any provision of these terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
