About Kodebloc
What Kodebloc is, what it is for, how it is run, and how to reach us.
Kodebloc helps people make things for the web and learn how the web works along the way. You describe a website in your own words, an AI builds it while you watch, and you put it online with a link anyone can open. Behind every website is real HTML and CSS that you can download, read and learn from.
What Kodebloc is
Kodebloc is a set of connected tools that share one account.
The AI website builder
The builder is the heart of Kodebloc on the web. You type a request such as "a website for my bakery in Pune", choose a style if you like, and press Build website. The AI writes the page, and you see it in a live preview within about a minute. Then you shape it:
- Ask for changes in plain language, or click a part of the page first so only that part changes. See change your website by chat.
- Type straight onto the page, move sections and swap photos with edit by hand.
- Start from a screenshot, a website you like or your Google Business Profile.
- Build a website with up to 5 pages. Every change is saved in My projects, and you can go back to an earlier version.
- Press Publish to give your website its own address on kodebloc.app. Forms on a published website really send: messages arrive in your Messages inbox and by email.
- Choose whether your website appears in the community gallery, where others can find it and get ideas.
Each new website gets its own design direction, with its own fonts, colors and layout, so two people asking for the same thing get two different results. Photos come from Unsplash, and each photographer is credited on the page. You own the websites and code you make, and you may use them for any lawful purpose, commercial ones included.
The Refactoring Lab
The Refactoring Lab is for people who already write code. You paste in older code and it returns an AI-assisted rewrite in a more modern style, for example React class components to hooks, JavaScript to TypeScript, SQL to Prisma or Drizzle, or callbacks to async and await. It shows the old and new code side by side so you can see exactly what changed.
The mobile coding app
The Kodebloc mobile app teaches coding in short pieces: interactive lessons, quizzes and daily challenges, with progress, XP and streaks to keep you going. In Code Battles you can take on other learners in live quiz matches. It uses the same Kodebloc account as the website.
What it is for
We built Kodebloc for people who want a website but never learned to make one, and for people who want to learn. A cafe owner can have a page with a menu and opening hours by the afternoon. A student can hand in a project as a real website. A curious beginner can build something, open the code and start to understand it.
That is why we write guides as well as software. Our guides explain the builder step by step and cover web basics like HTML, CSS, accessibility and SEO, all shown on real Kodebloc websites. Our templates give you ideas and requests ready to build. Teachers will find lesson ideas on our page for teachers.
How Kodebloc is run
- Free while in beta. The website builder is in beta and free to use, with daily and monthly limits on builds. Our pricing page shows the free plan and the plans we are working on.
- The services we use. AI requests go through OpenRouter to the model that builds your page. Accounts and data are kept in Google Firebase, and Kodebloc and the websites people publish are hosted on Vercel. Our Privacy Policy lists each service and what it receives.
- Safety first. Every page is checked before it goes online, and every published website has a Report link. Websites that break our rules can be taken down. Read how this works on our safety page.
- Age. You must be at least 13 to create an account, and anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian's permission.
- Your data, your choice. You can delete your account at any time on the delete account page. Deleting it also takes your published websites offline.
- Our terms. Using Kodebloc is covered by our Terms of Service, which are governed by the laws of India, our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy.
