App and startup website

A landing page for an app or small software product: what it does, features, plans, questions and a waitlist or demo form.

A landing page for an app has one job: help a visitor understand, in a few seconds, what the product does and who it is for, then get them to take one step, such as joining the waiting list, booking a demo or starting a trial. Everything on the page should support that one step.

What to put on an app landing page

  • A headline that names the problem you solve. "Clients book themselves. You get reminders" beats "The future of scheduling".
  • A picture of the product. A screenshot or a simple mockup of the main screen, so people can see what they would use.
  • Features as benefits. Three to six, each with a short line on what it saves or makes easier.
  • How it works. Three steps from sign-up to the first result.
  • Plans and prices. Even before launch, a rough price or "free during early access" answers the first question people have.
  • Proof. Results from beta testers, quotes from early users or the number of people on the waiting list.
  • Questions and answers. Which devices, what happens to my data, can I cancel.
  • One clear form. A waiting list, a demo request or a contact form. On a published Kodebloc website, each sign-up lands in your Messages inbox and in your email.

Tips for your request

  1. Explain the app as you would to a friend. Who uses it, what they do with it and why it is better than what they do now.
  2. Give real plans and launch dates. If you leave them out, the AI writes sample ones that you must replace.
  3. Ask for a product mockup. The AI can draw a simple phone or calendar screen in the page itself, which you can replace with a real screenshot later.
  4. Use pages if you have a lot to say. Home, Features and Pricing is a common set. Otherwise keep it to one page.

Start from a ready-made app website

Open either of these as your own copy: a booking app with a calendar mockup, six features, three plans, a comparison table and a demo request form, or a running app launch page with a phone mockup, a week by week plan, pricing, questions and a waiting list form. Their products, prices and results are made up, so put in yours before you publish. See all templates.

Before you launch

Fill in the title and description in Site settings, so the link looks good when you share it on launch day. Pages with password or card number fields can't be published, so link Sign in and payment buttons to your app itself. When you launch, change the waiting list form to a download or sign-up button and update the live website.

Kodebloc is free while in beta.
