Portfolios
A one-page portfolio for a documentary director and cinematographer who splits his year between Los Angeles and Mexico City. Film black, amber and bone keep it moody and expensive, and the letterboxed hero frame tells visitors at once that this person makes films.
The page opens with the name set huge in condensed capitals and a short line about long takes and real light. Below it, a 2.39 to 1 letterboxed still sits between black bars carrying a timecode, the aspect ratio, a frame counter and a caption naming Tierra Seca, 2025. Three short facts follow: based in Highland Park and Colonia Juárez, working since 2012 in English and Spanish, and booking fall 2027 shoots. A split panel then introduces La Molienda, a 96 minute feature now in the edit, with its logline, its release plan and a side-lit portrait of Doña Elvira, the woman at the center of the film.
The signature filmography sits on bone paper like a festival catalogue: seven films from 2019 to 2025 with year, title and translation, role, runtime and drawn laurels for festivals such as Sierra Madre Documentary Festival and Mojave Nonfiction Week. Three ways to work together prices the services: director from $18,000 a project, cinematographer from $1,400 a day with kit and color grading from $950 a day. Six selected stills follow, each captioned with its film and an amber timecode, then three quotes from a producer and two directors he has worked with, each with an initials badge. The Project inquiry form asks for name, email, production company, what you need, format, shoot location, budget range, shoot dates and the story.
To make it yours, change the name, cities and films to your own, replace the stills with frames from your work and adjust the day rates. The same dark, frame-first layout fits wedding filmmakers, music video directors, photographers, editors and colorists, or a small production company with a short slate of films in development.
