Blogs & writers
A dark, punchy site for a weekly Brooklyn podcast where two writers talk about rewriting. Righteous headlines, a hot orange accent and a crossed-out First above the title set the tone before a large player card for the newest episode.
The hero crosses out the word First in orange above Second Draft in huge rounded type, with a line about two working writers and three figures at the side: 112 episodes, new every Tuesday, about 45 minutes. Right below sits the signature player card: square typewriter artwork marked New and 112, the episode The Draft You Throw Away with novelist Marisol Vance, a short description, a drawn waveform with the played part in orange, timestamps and a play button. A cream archive follows with eight earlier episodes in rows, each with its number, title, guest writer, length and release date from January to February 2027. The play button jumps straight to that archive, so nothing pretends to stream.
The hosts section pairs a kitchen-table story with two tinted portraits of Nora Feld and Eli Brandt and a photo of the microphone. Where to listen keeps to four plain text links, with no app names or badges. Listener letters appear as three tilted cards in cream, orange and graphite beside a photo of envelopes, then a full-width Brooklyn brownstone band carries a pull quote. The orange signup section holds a Get new episodes by email form with first name, email and a choice of every episode or a monthly round-up. A line under the signup gives a Brooklyn phone number and a letters address for listener mail.
To make it yours, rename the show and hosts, then replace the latest episode, archive rows and letters with your own. The same layout fits an interview podcast, a radio show, a book club, a newsletter writer or a lecture series. Keep the player card at the top and refresh it each week, since returning listeners will look there first for the newest conversation.
