Made for a family karate or judo club that wants parents and nervous beginners to feel welcome. Rice paper and deep indigo carry a playful site where the seven belt colours do the decorating, from a belt journey timeline on the home page to a colour-coded class timetable.

Northwind Karate & Judo is a three page site for a family martial arts club in northwest Calgary. Home opens with the headline Every black belt started as a white belt beside an arched photo of two young students kicking, a free first class sticker and a strip of quick facts: ages 5 and up, two arts, 16 per class at most, three gradings a year. The signature belt journey runs on an indigo band, seven belts from white at 10th kyu to black at shodan, each with its typical time, such as 3 to 4 months for yellow and around year 5 for black. A karate and judo split and two big links to the other pages finish it.

Classes introduces four age groups, Little Dragons for 5 to 7, Juniors 8 to 12, Teens 13 to 16 and Adults 17 and up, each with a photo and a colour bar. A Monday to Saturday timetable tags every slot by group, with Friday open mat and Saturday adult beginners. Four instructors follow with their dan grades, two shown with photos and two with initials.
